Tushan Hong Hong, a fox spirit from the righteous Tushan Fox Clan, saves Dongfang Yue Chu, a human youth pursued by his lifelong enemy, by chance. As they spend time together in Tushan, a bond gradually forms between them. Ultimately, they join forces with their loved ones to combat the forces of evil in order to fulfill their shared desire for peace between their two clans.

The young man from the small town, Tao Wujie, was accepted into the Binjiang branch of Shenmao Bank, starting from the very bottom as a teller. The Third Pole (Roof of the World) shows us how Tibetan people live in harmony with nature in an extreme environment, immersing us in the unique charms of Tibet. What we are trying to depict for you are here is the relationship between people living in Tibetan Plateau and nature. We will focus on the incredible and unique nature state, continuous and erect snow mountains, rich and productive land steps, cyclical and round streams, soil and nature, animals, plants, and men coexisting and surviving together on earth.

The documentary series The Third Pole (Roof of the World) is China's first documentary about Tibetans living in harmony with nature on the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. With nature as the backdrop and human activities as the core, it also reflects the inheritance of traditional Tibetan culture, the continuation of traditional lifestyles, and the way the natural environment is being protected. It was released to wide international acclaim and has been regarded as a Chinese TV documentary that has gained significant international recognition. TV and Internet broadcasts have spurred wide interest in the documentary. We find The Third Pole significantly different from previous documentaries about Tibet through its strenuous efforts to gain insights into Tibet, leading to a "rediscovery" of this land and its people. The Third Pole provides insightful depictions of Tibetan people's everyday life, showing situations in which common Tibetan people attend to their daily business and capturing their stories with sensitivity. The sweep of this documentary's camera presents viewers with authentic pictures of Tibet's natural and human environment and specific individuals living therein. A striking feature of this documentary lies in its faithful representation of ordinary people's lifestyles at the "Third Pole," which is the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau as seen through an anthropological lens. In Tibet's extreme environment, people have settled on an optimal lifestyle that this documentary shows in an ordinary yet amazing way, opening a space wherein the audience can admire the sublimity of human life in this world. It is a song of humanity; it is a song of nature.

The vigorous head, Qiao Haiyun, ever set rules that every New Year all family members must go home. No one had broken rules all the time, until the most honest third-generation Li Yijin suddenly broke the tradition to go to her boyfriend's home for the New Year, causing family contradiction. Qiao Haiyun has three daughters. The eldest, Meng Mingwei is not her biological daughter. Because of lame inferiority, Meng Mingwei had great ambitions for her daughter, Li Yijin, but had a very tense relationship with her. In the end, they understood each other's difficulties and finally knew that keeping a proper distance was the best way to maintain a mother-daughter relationship; Meng Wanqing, the second one, and Tao Shuna were perfect mother and daughter, but the two accidentally discovered each other's secret. The process of rediscovering each other is also that of rediscovering oneself. The two finally understood that the perfect mother-daughter relationship was not to cover up the shortcomings but to support each other; The third one, Meng Yian, is the most like Qiao Haiyun, strong and independent. Not wanting to be a strong woman like her mother, but by chance, Meng Yian took the same path as her mother. The difficulty of balancing her career and family led her to understand her mother. The three generations of women in the Meng family were like a flock of birds. Although they watched each other from the distance, they supported each other and coexisted.

The story opens with the failed uprising in 1927. Foshan Communist Party members Chen and his wife died tragically to provide cover for their comrades. Years later, their three children go on to make spectacular achievements in the field of Cantonese medicine, cuisine and opera to earn fame in all of Guangzhou, staying true to their intentions even in wartime.

Due to the drastic countermeasures against the revolutionaries in Guangzhou on April 15, 1927, CCP underground members Chen and his wife died heroically and their three children were adopted by ordinary people. The eldest son Chen Shan He becomes an apprentice of medicine, the second son Chen Qing Wei becomes a chef, and the youngest daughter Chen Li Xia becomes an opera performer. Under the tutelage of their respective masters, they become legends in their own fields.

Just as they are about to take revenge on the enemy who killed their parents, war breaks out in Guangzhou causing the fates of the three individuals to also change dramatically. Chen Shan He engages in a seven-year struggle with Japanese merchants to protect the secrets of traditional Chinese medicine. He also devotes everything in the deadly fight against Japan's biological weapons.

Chen Qing Wei refuses to betray his country so he leaves for Hong Kong to promote Cantonese cuisine. He returns to Guangzhou with a successful career and helps his brother in their efforts to save the people. Chen Li Xia leads the performance troupe during the war, continuing to improve her craft and learning to find a balance between their harsh reality and the beautiful world of opera. The three siblings adhere to their national integrity amidst the severe trials of war to pass on their respective skills.

The years from 1998 to 2015 marked a transformative era in China's forestry landscape. During this time, Gu Changshan adopted Xingjie, the son of his deceased partner. After much hesitation, the Gu family decided to send Xingjie abroad for further education. As the wave of layoffs struck, some young people chose to leave, while those who stayed, led by Gu Changshan, charted a new course of "family ecological forestry" to temporarily address the livelihood crisis. In 2007, as a new turning point approached, the project of relocating migrants from remote mountainous areas began, aiming to protect the environment and improve their quality of life. The 923 Work Team faced the challenge of venturing out again. Xingjie was also brought back to the mountains. After resolving the family crisis, he took on the task of mobilizing the migrants. In doing so, he found his own value and made the decision to stay, shouldering the mission of forestry reform. Against the backdrop of a comprehensive logging restriction in 2014 and 2015, Xingjie responded to the call of "clear waters and green mountains are as valuable as mountains of gold and silver". He, along with his family and more people from the forested areas, embarked on a journey toward a better life.

Xu Jia Fu's father devoted himself to operating paper mill, and because of that, countryside where it was placed became rich. But at the same time, his family was scattered, because of the constant separation. After becoming an adult, Xu Jia Fu personally demolished his father's paper mill in order to reunite his parents and push the whole family, to back into their hometown. After becoming the secretary of Xujia Datang Village, he was determined to lead the villagers to open up a road of rural revitalization, and after experiencing the "disaster" such as the scam of the new agricultural tourism project and the pig farm disease, the confused and helpless Xu Jia Fu regained confidence under the guidance and encouragement of secretary Zheng Ben Kun.

As a doctor, Zhang Du Hang is far from impressed with Lu Yang as he finds her to be overly rational and calm. Lu Yang actually shares a similar contempt for his methods which she finds to be from the wild. They are both transferred to the same department leaving them no choice but to cooperate with each other in the face of urgent situations like a merchant ship in distress, transnational disaster relief, a virus epidemic and anti-terrorism efforts. Their story is an ode to the contemporary Chinese navy.

Hao Nan, a teacher who is nearing his thirties, faces a bunch of high school students who were abandoned by society and deemed as losers. He decides to help these students regain their confidence, working hand-in-hand with them to redeem themselves and create miracles. Together, they complete their high school entrance examinations, galloping toward hope and dreams.

From everyone else's perspective, Zhang Chunmei's life is perfect. Her son has been admitted to a top school due to his excellent grades, her husband is a professor with outstanding credentials and Chunmei herself is up for promotion as an editor of their magazine. Chunmei has a house, a car and abundant savings; but in fact, only she knows her own suffering. Middle age crisis came without warning and Chun Mei's husband has suddenly disappeared. After putting together all the clues, Chunmei has enough reason to suspect that he is cheating on her.
