Dawn French introduces an update to a moving documentary first broadcast on BBC4 last November. Where the tarmac ends in rural Zululand, South Africa, a human tragedy of epic proportions is being played out against a backdrop of vast landscapes and rustic poverty. Hundreds of thousands of children are being orphaned by the Aids pandemic that is tearing at the heart of one of the wealthiest countries in Africa. This film chronicles the story of some of the children who have been left alone stigmatised and grieving.

Comic Relief's Great Big Celebrity Red Nose Job

Six stars visit projects funded by Comic Relief cash in the run-up to Red Nose Day on 11 March. Jo Brand and Ruby Wax create a secure garden at a women's refuge in the UK, while, in Africa, Kevin Whately and Jimmy Nail turn guns into gardening tools in Sierra Leone, and Nick Knowles and Liza Tarbuck build a clinic for a Zambian community ravaged by Aids-related diseases.

What happens to the money raised by Comic Relief? Ahead of this year's event on 11 March, Lenny Henry and Davina McCall visit Ethiopia and Kenya to find out. This time they're accompanied by members of the public - including a trio of Coventry bus drivers who raised E30,000 with their travelling "full monty" show.
