Herman is working alone late at the office. He hides when Heddy brings a man back to the office and then admits he's married. Heddy kicks the man out. He gains insight into Heddy's psyche when her mother shows no interest over the phone.

When a retiring co-worker tragically dies just after taking to Herman, Herman decides to make his mark in life.
