Hubert and Girwidz find a body rolled up in a carpet by the river. The victim, Johannes Graf, had been reported missing by his wife that morning. She had assumed he was hiking in the mountains. He had recently made drastic changes to his life after consulting with life coach Seligstein. Graf was not in the mountains at all, as revealed by the tracking app on his cell phone. When the police manage to update the app, they discover that the cell phone is apparently still moving through Wolfratshausen...

One summer day, Hubert and Girwidz buy ice cream at Yazid's new stand. While they are busy choosing their ice cream flavors, Gerhard Feinbein, the driver of a cash transport vehicle, is knocked down by a masked man behind their backs. The man hijacks the cash transport vehicle and disappears. A search is launched immediately, but to no avail. When Yazid happens to find the van, everyone is relieved: Feinbein's security colleague Steimle is still alive! But his account of the attack raises questions...
