While driving with Riedl in the patrol car, Hubert notices an electric scooter parked in the middle of the road. While Hubert takes a closer look at the damage, Riedl discovers the body of wildlife photographer Axel Kämmer.
While searching for poachers, Hubert and Girwidz stumble across the body of farmer Thomas Lengstätter. However, they find no evidence of foul play and assume that he died of natural causes. But pathologist Fuchs comes to a different conclusion. She proves that Lengstätter was the victim of a particularly perfidious murder using a poison that is difficult to detect. Lengstätter's children and heirs quickly come under suspicion, but they cover for each other.
Hubert and Girwidz find a body rolled up in a carpet by the river. The victim, Johannes Graf, had been reported missing by his wife that morning. She had assumed he was hiking in the mountains. He had recently made drastic changes to his life after consulting with life coach Seligstein. Graf was not in the mountains at all, as revealed by the tracking app on his cell phone. When the police manage to update the app, they discover that the cell phone is apparently still moving through Wolfratshausen...
