Wanting to demonstrate his capabilities, C2 sneaks onto the bridge and pilots the ship with disastrous results. The cadets have their formal and all are taken aback by the surprise appearance of Zandie who's natural dancing abilities make her the belle of the ball.

To alleviate growing tensions on the ship, a celebration is held for crossing the Andromeda Line, the Star Runner's point of no return. Sheng and Tycho's experiments with the ship's food supplies has unintended side effects for the crew.
