A blackout hits New York City leaving Julia stranded on the thirty-third floor with a resourceful insurance salesman who romances her by candlelight.

Toni decides to bring in professional help from a psychologist when she notices the office tension has become unbearable. The staff undergoes group therapy, leading to total honesty and they air their grievances with one another which results in a new set of problems.
