Mild-mannered barber Ernie Teller, wires Paladin everything he has to come to Florence and help him against two men who have settled on the same woman that Ernie has.

Paladin is waylaid on the way to Wickenburg and a saloon girl takes him in. She offers to help him get his gun and money back if he takes her with him.
