Paladin gets involved in a dispute between a farmer who has apparently found an Aztec treasure, and the local landowner who wants it to pay to renew her drought-stricken property.

A scout asks Paladin to join him and the British hunting party that he's leading... and one member has been killed by supposedly peaceful Indians.
