After Nick is stopped for a traffic infraction in a small Maine town, he protests the unfairness of the ticket and elects to spend a day in jail spoiling Nora's plans for a Canadian vacation. The day in town turns bizarre when the residents of the town disappear.

Nora recieves a crusie ticket and a diamond bracelet after being selected for jury duty then drives the rest of the jury up the wall.
