Nemesis

The episode opens with Daniel Jackson confined to the infirmary recovering from an appendectomy. The rest of team is told to take a vacation, but before they can go, O'Neill is suddenly transported to Thor's ship where he is informed that the enemy the Asgard deemed greater than the Goa'uld is onboard, and Thor needs Jack's help to defeat them.

Tthe third season follows SG-1 in their fight against the Goa'uld Empire's System Lords, the main being Sokar and then Apophis . The season introduces the long unseen and unnamed enemy of the Asgards, the Replicators who are self-replicating machines that seek to convert all civilizations into more of themselves, thus posing a dire threat to all other beings.
