Ömer is about to say that he loves her when Zehra interrupts him and run out saying she needs to go to the kitchen. Ömer follows her to the kitchen and tries to tell her there. She keeps interrupting him. Hediye comes and Zehra says she is going to make a sandwich and offers to make one for Ömer. He accepts saying she can make them and then they will eat it in the study together. She accepts and he leaves.

Zehra sends his sandwich with Hediye and does not go to him. Mert goes to the study and they have to work so Ömer is caught up.

Mehtap once more tries to get Beton to return. Koray realizes that Beton has to leave. Beton goes back and Mehtap is happy. He also proves to her that the guy is married. He changes into a nice suit and goes after Mehtap's debt collections. He brings back the money and then takes the gift he had with him and goes off on his own. Mehtap is upset that the gift was not for her.

Şukran, Salim and Yasemin go out of town to attend a funeral. Mert is busy trying to get all the evidence against his father.

When Ömer goes to the room, Zehra is sleeping. She quickly sleeps hoping he would not tell her he loves her because she does not know what to answer. He decides to tell her in the morning.

In the morning he finds her note saying she has gone to Mahaleh and that he can call when he gets up. He decides to go after her.

Müzeyyen is very upset with what Alev has done and talks with Ayşe about finding a way to make it up to Zehra.

Zehra forgets her keys and has to go to Leyla because the family has gone to the funeral. Leyla goes to get bread for breakfast and runs into Ömer and takes him home. Zehra is shocked to see him. Leyla has to later leave to give Şukran her meds and asks Zehra to stay and receive the package that is to be delivered at her home. She later calls and says she also has gone to the funeral and will not be back for the night. She adds that the delivery has been delayed for tomorrow. Zehra accepts to stay and get the package.

Nihat is preparing for their anniversary but Cevriye takes over the preparations and the couple relents. Alev continues to taunt Cevriye saying she can never lose weight. Ayşe calls and tells Ömer Müzeyyen has bought a present for Zehra and wants to give it to her. Ömer tells her that they will not go home tonight. Zehra is shocked that Ömer is staying with her at Leyla's house. He wants to talk but she goes into the washroom and ends up breaking the tap. Ömer has to fix the plumbing and get wet but he does it and again asks to talk. She says I need to be alone because I need to think. He asks about what. She says about everything.

At night she gives him a blanket to sleep on the sofa. She goes into Leyla's room. Neither of them can sleep. In the morning he is expecting her when she wakes up. He takes her hands and is about to say I love you.

Zehra cannot sleep at night and texts Leyla to talk. But she sends the text to Ömer by mistake and Ömer gets up in the living room and thinks Zehra finally wants to talk. She comes out all frazzled and says I just wanted to make sure you have everything and goes back to sleep. Ömer is disappointed.

In the morning Zehra returns with shopping to Leyla's house and realizes she has forgotten her keys. Ömer is asleep and takes a while to open the door. They set up the table and Ömer wants to talk at the breakfast table but again Leyla calls and tells them they are returning so they have to quickly leave.

At home Müzeyyen and Ayşe give a gift to Zehra to make up for the past week. It is a framed photograph of Ömer and Zehra holding hands. Zehra thanks them and takes it to the room and puts it on the dresser. She feels the weight of lying to these nice people in her life. Ömer gets Hediye to serve breakfast for them on the verandah and Zehra applauds him for handling the Fikriye situation well. Ömer talks about his childhood and how he has preserved the House just as his grandfather first built it to preserve the memories. Zehra notes he says nothing about his mother.

Mehtap follows Beton and sees him talking to a lady and thinks she is his girlfriend. Mehtap is very jealous.

Nihat goes to Ömer in the study and talks about the celebration of their anniversary. Nihat leaves the diamond ring he has bought for Ayşe on the table and goes off to answer a phone call. Ömer sees Zehra in the yard and goes to her. Zehra is about to talk to Leyla about Ömer and her feleings. Ömer arrives and wants to talk to her so she hangs up. But Ayşe comes and tells them she is getting ready for the evening. Zehra uses getting ready as an excuse to run away again.

Alev finds the ring in the study and thinks Ömer has got it for Zehra so she takes it. Nihat comes looking for it and it is not there. He and Cevriye are looking for it desperately. When Alev realizes it is his, she puts it back in the study somewhere on the floor. Nihat finally finds it and asks Ömer and Zehra to come in the living as he is going to give it to Ayşe right away.

They both go there. Everyone is gathered. Nihat begins expressing his love for Ayşe ready to put the ring on her finger when Alev tells Zehra the diamond ring is said to be a symbol of love and marriage, but I have not seen one on your hand. Ömer goes to Zehra all annoyed with Alev. He takes Zehra's hand in his and says watch what you say to my wife. He also adds that their love needs no symbols.
