He learns about every hiker's favourite treat, Kendal Mint Cake, tries his luck fishing the traditional Viking way, enjoys a taste of the Caribbean when he learns about the history of rum in the region, and bakes up a spicy cake for some local cloggers.

Today actor and comedian Adrian Edmondson is on his way to East Scotland as he searches out Britain's finest regional foods and traditions. He meets the brothers brewing medieval heather ale, visits a family of sporran makers and tastes some highland cattle beef. Adrian then cooks up a nourishing Scottish broth for some local singers.
