Yu Tu refuses to join any group activities during the outfield trip. He reads his old chats with Qiao Jing Jing again. Guan Zai calls Yu Tu and his advice inspires Yu Tu to write Jing Jing a letter. The next day, Yu Tu sends out the letter via post.

Yu Tu confesses his feelings to Qiao Jing Jing but he is rejected by her since she thinks that he's not sincere. He fetches her back to Yixing anyway and they spend the new year separately with their own families.
