Yu Tu visits his parents in Yixing before going on his one-month business trip. He digs out his old computer and reads his old chats with Qiao Jing Jing, reminiscing the past. When taking a walk with his mom, they talk about the old days and his mom's regrets of discouraging him from doing what he wanted in the past.

After Yu Tu starts working at the institution again, he manages to lead the team to some success. However, with the original leader Guan Zai gone, his responsibilities increase. In the meantime, Yu Tu's ex-girlfriend comes to Shanghai, while Qiao Jing Jing hasn't been in touch with him.

Yu Tu refuses to join any group activities during the outfield trip. He reads his old chats with Qiao Jing Jing again. Guan Zai calls Yu Tu and his advice inspires Yu Tu to write Jing Jing a letter. The next day, Yu Tu sends out the letter via post.
