Brought in to see Professor Noel Fitzpatrick is a shih-tzu cross with deformed legs, a golden retriever that needs a tumour removed, and a bulldog puppy with a fractured elbow.

Dr Noel treats a lurcher with a collapsed joint; a puppy that struggles to walk; and a cat that's been hit by a car on its first venture outside the house.
