The crews also help a man with a lung condition who uses his own source of oxygen, but the canister is in another room and he's too weak to reach it; a young woman with terminal cancer who has collapsed and can't get up; a husband who is worried that if his wife goes into hospital, she won't come out again, but her dementia has reached the stage where a visit to hospital is unavoidable; and a man with low blood oxygen levels who needs the paramedics' help just to breathe.

A call comes in from a GP surgery for a child suffering a severe asthma attack and paramedics are called out to a young woman with multiple sclerosis who is in considerable pain. A man with advanced bowel cancer who is struggling to breathe is seen to by a district nurse so as to avoid a visit to A&E. Plus, a patient is having their 10th nose bleed in 11 days.
