There's a big commotion in Husum. Director Ole Barstedt is found dead on the set of his new film. The movie is about the erotic adventures of Vickie Ocean—aka Frederike Mörs—a pretty girl from Husum. Several people are immediately suspected of the crime: First, there's the director's son, who, as the sole heir, stands to benefit from his father's death and immediately takes over Ole Barstedt's director's chair. But Frederike's impulsive father also has a motive—he hates his daughter's work in the adult entertainment industry. Jon and Nora investigate.

Wenzel von der Eider collapses and dies after a fencing duel with his father, Hagen. The autopsy reveals that the young man was poisoned. Jon and Nora focus their investigation primarily on the family, as any relative could have a motive. The fact that the von der Eider family is one of the most important sponsors of the Theodor Storm Society makes the case particularly difficult for Detective Hinrichs.
