Special agent Ben Casey of INTERSECT is caught in the underwater explosion of a nuclear Russian satellite. He is turned invisible, and Dr. Abbey Lawrence perfects a stabilizer that lets Sam return to visibility. He can still turn invisible... but if he does so for more than 15 minutes a day, he dies. Sam sets out to discover if someone on the other dive team set off the explosion.

Sam goes up against a computerized robot with IR sensors that can neutralize his invisibility, attempting to stop a scientist who plans to use his creation to blackmail INTERSECT into giving him $500 million.
