Archaeologists search for clues to unlock the mysteries of the Great Sphinx. To this day it is unclear what function the world-famous Great Sphinx of Giza once served. Animal mummies and ancient statues of mythological hybrids could help solve the "riddle of the Sphinx".

The oldest pyramid in Egypt is located in the Saqqara necropolis, south of Cairo. Somewhere here is said to be the tomb of its creator, the builder and high priest Imhotep.
