Woodman suspends Kotter after watching his unorthodox teaching methods and Gabe has to appear before the Board of Education.
When Assistant Principal Woodman visits Kotter's class he sees Gabe seated on the floor with his students, rapping instead of lecturing from the textbook. Woodman has teacher suspended until he can have Gabe appear before an arbitrator from the Board of Education—an action Woodsman Is convinced will enable him to fire Kotter.
