Injured Max copes with crutches while helping Susie, a blind witness, identity the murderer of Dr. David Carver, a surgeon.

Max finds a wounded girl in the trunk of a stolen Rolls-Royce and, after discovering that a bullet in the head has left her with amnesia, tries to help her recover her memory by re-tracing her recent activities.
