President Trump lashed out at Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell over interest rates. Powell says the Fed needs more "clarity" before making a move, and that tariffs could lead to higher inflation and slower growth. NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports the president said of Powell, "if I want him out, he'll be out of there real fast, believe me." A school bus carrying South Carolina middle schoolers back from a field trip, blew a tire and overturned on a highway, trapping students and sending many injured passengers to the hospital. NBC News' Rehema Ellis has that story. Matthew Naval, 27 was arrested on kidnapping and unlawful sexual conduct with a minor. Police found Naval and the child outside Sacramento. Authorities say Naval met the young girl chatting on Roblox and Discord. NBC News' Steve Patterson has the chilling story and a warning for parents. The long-awaited resentencing hearing for Lyle and Erik Menendez was postponed indefinitely after both sides' attorneys fought over whether the judge should consider a comprehensive risk assessment prepared by the California Parole Board. Lawyers for Menendez announced plans for a motion to recuse the LA District Attorney. NBC News' Liz Kreutz was there. Two people are dead after police say a gunman opened fire on the campus of Florida State University. Authorities say the suspect is the son of an area sheriff's deputy. NBC News' Priya Sridhar reports.

Federal judge James Boasberg slammed the government for failing to comply with his court order to temporarily halt removal flights to El Salvador. He wrote "probable cause exists to find the Government in criminal contempt." NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports it comes as the administration released new documents about Kilmar Abrego Garcia, who was recently deported to El Salvador. The White House says the documents show he was affiliated with the MS-13 gang. New surveillance video from inside the school shows the moment police allege 17-year-old Tracey Haynes Jr. opened fire. The teenager, who is considered an adult in the Texas legal system, was booked on suspicion of aggravated assault mass shooting. Newly released search warrants show police believe the attack on Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro's home was politically motivated. The court documents suggest the suspect was upset with Shapiro's position on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The family of U.S. pastor Josh Sullivan says he's alive after being rescued late Tuesday. Sullivan was abducted by a group of men at his church as he was leading a prayer service. Police say they killed all three suspects who attempted to flee. NBC News' Keir Simmons has more. Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. suggested environmental factors may be behind the rise in autism rates without evidence. NBC News' Anne Thompson reports. Car dealerships report shrinking inventories with Americans buying new and used cars before auto tariffs take effect. Car prices could increase soon depending on how many foreign parts are included. Some experts say if you need a new car within the next six months, now could be the best time to buy. One day after a deadly shooting rampage at Florida State University, there are new details about the alleged gunman and the victims. One woman hit by a bullet, says her decision to play dead is the reason she's still alive. NBC News' Priya Sridhar reports.  Maryland Senator Chris Van Hollen met with Kilmar Abrego Garcia for a half hour at a hotel in El Salvador on Thursday evening. Sen. Van Hollen said Abrego Garcia told him he has not communicated with anybody since arriving in El Salvador and has been moved from the notorious CECOT prison to another detention facility. NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports civil rights lawyers say the Trump administration is now preparing more deportation flights for alleged gang members. The judge presiding over Idaho vs. Bryan Kohberger handed down evidentiary rulings today. A surviving roommate will be allowed to testify she saw "a masked man with bushy eyebrows." Kohberger's defense will not be able to mention his autism diagnosis unless he takes the stand. NBC News' Stephanie Gosk explains. NBC News' Richard Engel reports on the ground in Tehran tonight as nuclear talks between the U.S. and Iran are set to resume in Rome this weekend.
