Hurricane Erin could dump up to two inches of rain in parts of North Carolina this week as the category 2 storm churns over the Atlantic. On Hatteras Island, some tourists have relocated after a mandatory evacuation order and some residents are deciding to stay. NBC News' Aaron Gilchrist reports. President Trump today said he will not send U.S. ground troops to Ukraine as part of any security guarantees for that country. As part of Trump's push for peace, the White House said that Russian president Putin has agreed to meet with Ukraine's president Zelenskyy. NBC News' Kelly O'Donnell reports.  In an effort to crack down on drug cartels, a source briefed on the matter tells NBC News that three U.S. warships will be sent near Venezuela. A U.S. official says the ships will be used for intel gathering and surveillance from international waters. NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports.  Dramatic video captured the moment a gas line exploded in Wilmington, North Carolina. Debris and massive plumes of black spoke filled the air after the explosion, which happened at a veterinary hospital. Three firefighters were injured. NBC News' Priscilla Thompson reports. Two food bloggers were filming a restaurant review in Houston when a car suddenly plowed into the window right next to where they were sitting. Police say the driver thought the car was in park and when she lifted her foot off the brake, it rolled into the restaurant. NBC News' George Solis spoke to the influencers, who say they are lucky to be alive.
