Federal Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook said she will sue to try and keep her job after President Trump announced he was firing her. Trump accused her of mortgage fraud. NBC News' Garrett Haake reports. The parents of 16-year-old Adam Raine say in his final weeks of life, the ChatGPT artificial intelligence chatbot had become a substitute for human companionship. They are suing the company behind ChatGPT, OpenAI, and its CEO Sam Altman, saying they bear responsibility for their son's death. OpenAI says in part, "we're working to make ChatGPT more supportive in moments of crisis." NBC News' Laura Jarrett reports. In Isle of Palm, South Carolina, officials say a ride-share vehicle accidentally drove into a creek. Two good samaritans rushed to help pull the driver from the sinking car. Police say the driver only suffered minor injuries. NBC News' Jesse Kirsch speaks with one of the heroes and the driver. Fans around the world are reacting to Taylor Swift's engagement to Travis Kelce. Even the NFL and President Donald Trump weighed in at the White House. The Department of Health and Human Services announced that director Susan Monarez, appointed by President Trump, is no longer with the CDC. NBC News is also reporting that four other top CDC leaders are also resigning. NBC's Anne Thompson reports. NBC News' Joe Fryer reports on the Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, the site of today's deadly shooting. The church has deep roots in the community. With the school year beginning on Monday, the theme was "a future filled with hope." Now the church and parishioners are hoping their faith can guide them in this dark time. Police say the shooter who opened fire on children as they prayed in their pews had posted disturbing videos prior to the massacre. Police said they have not yet identified a motive, but a Facebook post identified the shooter's mother as a former employee of that Catholic church. NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports. Tonight, Minneapolis is grieving after a shooter opened fire on children at the Annunciation Catholic School during morning worship service marking the first week of school. Police say the shooter was armed with 3 weapons and started firing through the stained-glass windows, killing two children and injuring 17 others. NBC News' Shaquille Brewster reports from Minneapolis. The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, described the moment he found out about the deadly shooting at a church in his city. "The kids impacted were literally praying at the time of this tragic and horrible shooting," Frey said. He added: "We need a whole hell of a lot more than thoughts and prayers." NBC News' Tom Llamas reports. Officials in North Carolina released drone video of first responders saving a pilot from his plane after it crashed into the ocean. The crash happened earlier this month when the plane began experiencing engine failure. NBC News' Jesse Kirsch speaks with the firefighters who made the rescue.
