Authorities say the shooter had a twisted desire for notoriety. NBC News' Shaquille Brewster reports. The Reuters news agency says the location of its cameraman killed in Monday's attack on Nasser Hospital in Gaza was known to the IDF. New video shows at least four munitions were fired on the location. NBC News' Molly Hunter reports. CDC staffers cheered top officials who resigned in protest after President Trump fired the agency's director. Those officials warn America's public health is in danger. But HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said the agency needs to be revamped after missteps during the pandemic. NBC News' Anne Thompson reports. The Department of Health and Human Services announced that director Susan Monarez, appointed by President Trump, is no longer with the CDC. NBC News is also reporting that four other top CDC leaders are also resigning. NBC's Anne Thompson reports. NBC News' Joe Fryer reports on the Annunciation Catholic Church in Minneapolis, the site of today's deadly shooting. The church has deep roots in the community. With the school year beginning on Monday, the theme was "a future filled with hope." Now the church and parishioners are hoping their faith can guide them in this dark time. Police say the shooter who opened fire on children as they prayed in their pews had posted disturbing videos prior to the massacre. Police said they have not yet identified a motive, but a Facebook post identified the shooter's mother as a former employee of that Catholic church. NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports. Tonight, Minneapolis is grieving after a shooter opened fire on children at the Annunciation Catholic School during morning worship service marking the first week of school. Police say the shooter was armed with 3 weapons and started firing through the stained-glass windows, killing two children and injuring 17 others. NBC News' Shaquille Brewster reports from Minneapolis. The mayor of Minneapolis, Jacob Frey, described the moment he found out about the deadly shooting at a church in his city. "The kids impacted were literally praying at the time of this tragic and horrible shooting," Frey said. He added: "We need a whole hell of a lot more than thoughts and prayers." NBC News' Tom Llamas reports. Officials in North Carolina released drone video of first responders saving a pilot from his plane after it crashed into the ocean. The crash happened earlier this month when the plane began experiencing engine failure. NBC News' Jesse Kirsch speaks with the firefighters who made the rescue.

New details tonight in the investigation into the Minneapolis school shooting massacre. Minneapolis police confirm law enforcement has had a conversation with the shooter's mother, who has not been accused of any wrongdoing. This as a former classmate of the shooter says she noticed red flags. NBC News' Maggie Vespa reports. Fired Federal Reserve Board Governor Lisa Cook was in court today after suing to keep her job, following her firing by President Trump. Meanwhile, HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said he will restore ‘credibility' to the CDC after the firing of the agency's director. NBC News' Gabe Gutierrez reports. The IDF says it has begun the "initial stages" of its assault on Gaza City and that it had recovered the remains of two hostages. NBC News' Molly Hunter reporter from Jerusalem.  "This is the Emergency Broadcast System. A regional jet from Aspen to Houston had to divert and land in Austin after dropping nearly 5,000 feet in a severe turbulence event. A passenger described one person on board bouncing up and hitting the ceiling twice. NBC News' Tom Costello reports.  This is not a test." Actor and New Orleans native Wendell Pierce recalls the chill that message sent through his body. Hurricane Katrina had passed, but the city's levees had broken, filling it up "like a bathtub." On this 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, Pierce, along with survivor Dr. Courtney Jackson and WDSU New Orleans anchor Travers Mackel join Tom Llamas in a roundtable discussion about what went terribly wrong and why we should never forget.
