Three highly-trained sheriff's deputies were killed following an explosion at a training center in Los Angeles. The deputies were handling two "military grade explosives," according to sources familiar with the investigation, who say the explosion appears to be accidental. NBC News' Camila Bernal reports. In Maine, authorities charged a 17-year-old from Frankfort with the murder of 48-year-old Sunshine Stewart who was out on a pond paddleboarding earlier this month. NBC News' Erin McLaughlin reports. The Trump administration has secured the freedom of ten Americans it says were wrongly detained in Venezuela by the Maduro regime. Those Americans are now headed home. As part of the prisoner swap, a group of alleged Venezuelan gang members deported from the U.S. are now headed from El Salvador to Venezuela. President Trump touted his administration's accomplishments as he marked six months in office on Sunday, as he continues to face backlash over the Justice Department's handling of the Epstein case files. Authorities say the suspect was subject to a deportation order. NBC News' Camila Bernal reports.  The number of people reported missing after catastrophic flooding in Kerr County, Texas, has dropped from a peak of more than 160 to three, officials said Saturday. NBC News' Ryan Chandler has the latest on the recovery, and the challenges ahead for people still searching for loved ones. A U.S.-backed ceasefire appeared to be holding in Syria on Sunday, after deadly violence rocked the region, when hundreds of people were killed in the city of Suwayda. The violence marks the biggest challenge yet to the new government in Damascus that toppled Bashar al-Assad in December. NBC News' Molly Hunter reports. The pilot of a Delta regional flight operated by SkyWest, flying from Minneapolis to Minot, North Dakota, said during an overhead announcement that he had to make an "aggressive maneuver" to avoid a mid-air collision with a military jet.
