A shooting in the early morning hours led to a shelter in place order on campus. Incoming first year students were spending the night in dorm rooms during a two day orientation. NBC News' Steve Patterson reports. George Santos reported to a federal prison in New Jersey to begin a 7-year prison sentence, after he pleaded guilty to a laundry list of charges. Shortly after Santos was elected to Congress, press reports began to emerge revealing he wasn't who he claimed to be. Santos was later expelled from Congress. NBC News' Ryan Nobles reports. Southwest Airlines says pilots on board Flight 1496 from Burbank to Las Vegas got two serious warnings at 14,000 feet. The pilots then took immediate action to avoid colliding with another plane. Passengers describe a harrowing scene on board, flying out of their seats. Two flight attendants were injured. NBC News' Tom Costello reports. Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch completed his interview with Ghislaine Maxwell, the convicted accomplice of notorious sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.
