Officials have not said who was driving or what caused the accident. The executive director of the port of Los Angeles expects a 35 percent drop in cargo coming in from Asia starting next week. The warning comes as the dockworkers union says President Trump's trade war risks leading to "devastating job losses." NBC News' Steve Patterson reports from the ports of Southern California. Columbia University student Mohsen Mahdawi was detained earlier this month during an immigration interview. Last year, he helped organized pro-Palestinian protests on campus. A federal judge today ordered him released on bail, as he fights his deportation. NBC News' Stephanie Gosk reports Mahdawi had a defiant message for the Trump administration after his release. The FAA and NTSB are investigating another close call at Reagan National Airport after a military helicopter flying to the Pentagon deviated from its flight path. Air traffic controllers then told two planes to cancel their landings and go around. NBC News' Tom Costello reports it comes as delays persist at Newark airport due to equipment and staffing problems, with United Airlines announcing today it is cutting Newark flights. Just about 15 miles outside Yellowstone National Park, a collision between a tour van and a pickup truck created an inferno and left seven people dead. Authorities are now investigating the cause of the crash. NBC News' Morgan Chesky reports. The popular online bargain retail company says it will stop shipping from China directly to U.S. customers. There was a surge on Wall Street amid a strong jobs report, with the S&P and NASDAQ recovering all losses since President Trump announced tariffs on April 2. Meanwhile, in an exclusive interview, President Trump told NBC News that the U.S. is in an economic transition period.
