Dow stocks soared over 1,100 points after the U.S. and China announced they would lower tariffs for 90 days. The highly-anticipated trial of Sean Combs began today. Prosecutors said Combs used fame and power to run a criminal enterprise that included drug-fueled parties and violence. The defense admitted Combs was sometimes violent, but said the things that went on were not federal crimes. NBC News' Chloe Melas was in the courtroom. Edan Alexander, who was kidnapped by Hamas during its October 7 terror attack, was released today as part of a deal negotiated by the Trump administration. A judge has agreed to reduce the Menendez brothers' sentence for the 1989 murders of their parents to 50 years, making them immediately eligible for parole under state law. Cassie Ventura, the former girlfriend of music mogul Sean ‘Diddy' Combs, testified for a second day at his federal sex trafficking trial.
