In Weatherford, Oklahoma, dozens of people were rushed to a nearby hospital after massive amounts of toxic gas leaked from a tanker truck in a hotel parking lot. Emergency crews in gas masks evacuated hundreds of residents. NBC News' Ryan Chandler is on the scene. The federal government is now back open, but the impacts could last for days or longer including at America's airports. NBC News' Ryan Nobles reports. The family of Virginia Roberts Giuffre spoke to NBC News after a newly released Jeffrey Epstein email mentioned President Trump. NBC News' Hallie Jackson reports. Researchers have linked the death of a 47-year-old man in New Jersey to alpha-gal syndrome, which usually starts with a bite from a lone star tick. The man died four hours after eating a hamburger. NBC News' Anne Thompson. In Pittsburgh, Senator John Fetterman was hospitalized with minor injuries after a fall related to a serious cardiac issue. The condition Fetterman suffered from is usually fatal without treatment. A spokesperson says Fetterman is doing well and receiving routine observation. His own long-term care policy premium has gone up nearly 300% from when he first bought it 21 years ago. NBC News' Erin McLaughlin reports on why it happened. After the catastrophic flooding in Texas, students from Future Farmers of America swung into action, clearing debris and gutting homes. But their event space is still being used as a command center, leaving them without a place for their fall fundraiser or stock show.
