When Karl learns of Ajays marriage problems, he offers to cancel their Christmas performance at the Community Centre. But Carmel insists Ajay could use the distraction and convinces Karl to encourage Ajay to play. Karl soon regrets his decision after Ajays forced to cross with Paul but hes relieved when Ranis surprise attendance leaves Ajay buoyed.

Rhys rushes panicked Vanessa to hospital. Still unable to get on to Lucas, Rhys realises how terrified Vanessa is of giving birth alone and promises to stay by her side. Meanwhile, Lucas works to convince Francesca that Vanessa really needs her, completely unaware shes already gone into labour.
