Gem confides in Sonya that she doesn't expect a great reference from her old school, as the principal didn't like her and she didn't give very much notice. Sonya goes in to bat for Gem, telling Susan that everyone deserves a chance.

Excited for work experience at Lassiters, Amber is determined to impress Terese despite Josh's wandering hands and mouth. Lauren's jealous that Amber sees Terese as her new role model, but she's glad her daughter is enthusiastic about something so positive. So when Terese suggests Amber and Josh are planning on sleeping together after catching them in a heated moment.
