Lauren doesn't know how to handle Bailey's acting out and turns to Brad for advice. Terese is unsettled when she sees how comfortable Brad is slipping into the role of man-of-the-house for Lauren, and how much Lauren is inclined to rely on him, even ignoring Lou's advice. When Bailey finally comes home, Lauren is shaken by how defiant he is.

Terrified that his secret will be revealed, Nick insists on overseeing Paul's care when he's admitted to the hospital. Karl is puzzled by Nick's insistence, as is Georgia. Karl wonders why, if there was a chance Paul might come down with pneumonia, he wasn't getting care. Nick covers by saying Paul's a bad patient and Karl can't disagree.
