When Nate learns that Tyler is waiting for things to happen with Paige, Nate encourages him to be more assertive. Buoyed, Tyler gives her a boxing bag as a token of his feelings and, just as he's about to tell her how he feels, Brennan interrupts and Tyler learns he and Paige are a couple. A heartbroken Tyler leaves with his secret intact.

Russell Brennan, patriarch of the Brennan family, has arrived to a less than joyous reception from his sons. Aaron doesn't want a bar of his father, and is furious with Mark for having invited him here. Mark is defensive – he didn't issue an invite, he simply asked his father for advice on dealing with Tyler! Tyler, meanwhile, jumps on his bike and leaves town.
