Brad waits for Laurens response and is devastated when she says no. She explains that she loves him but doesnt want to get married again. An upset Brad takes off while Lauren goes to sleep. She dreams of Matt, her dead husband, and discovers the picture of her and Brad has been knocked over.

Brad struggles to deal with the news that Lauren kept Neds return from him. Once he also learns that she dreamt about Matt after he proposed to her, old insecurities crowd in on Brad, and he abandons his plan to propose again.
