Elly is adjusting to being back home after being released from prison. She invites Shaun, the father of her child Aster, to stay with her so that he can be close to their daughter. However, both Elly and Shaun are struggling to cope with the aftermath of the trauma they have experienced.

Chloe confronts Pierce and Naomi about their past and relationship with each other, which causes Chloe to question their trustworthiness. She feels betrayed that they had kept their relationship hidden from her and is angry about it. This theme of hidden past actions is further explored with Dee sharing her suspicions about Heathers location with Toadie, leading to Karl visiting Heather in jail.
