Laverne and Shirley are invited by Tad Shotz, the nephew of the girls' boss at Shotz Brewery, to a formal society party.

Laverne is sick of how her co-worker Karen calls her an "unskilled laborer", so she decides to get even by beating her in the company bowling tournament. The night before, however, Laverne becomes legitimately sick.
