Nick investigates the murder of a real estate developer's secretary. Nick (Jack Scalla) is hired to stop the psychological harassment ot a secretary by a petty crook, which looks easy until some big-time hoods "suggest" he back off. 

Nick's help is sought by a man, whose wife's behavior changes every year on the anniversary of her first husband's death.
