Brian fixes his son Nick up with his current girlfriend's younger sister for a day at the beach. Nick finds a dead body in the trunk of Brian's convertible. He must find a way to prove his father's innocence as well as investigate the murder.

Nick and Brian compete to capture a French criminal who is involved in a vintage wine scam and a plot to counterfeit franc notes, their paths lead to a dungeon in the villain's Napa Valley monastery. Brian Devlin poses as a monk as he and his private investigator son, Nick Corsello, investigate a big swindle involving fine wines.
