Thanks to Naru's tutoring, Keitaro scores surprisingly well on his mock exams for Tokyo University. To show his gratitude, he invites Naru out for a special meal. As the date winds down, Mutsumi appears, and things quickly devolve into yet another study session. But when Mutsumi later invites Keitaro out on a date of her own, sparks begin to fly—and not all of them romantic.

Naru grows increasingly conflicted, believing Mutsumi is the girl from Keitaro's childhood promise. Just then, the previous manager Hina returns and announces a two-day evacuation for renovations. As the residents temporarily scatter, Naru and Keitaro find themselves alone—giving them time to face unresolved feelings.
