Linda is working with Mia to find the cause of her intestinal problems. She also heads up the pediatric ward and prefers that her staff keep their personal lives separate from work. This preference is quickly put to the test when a miscommunication between Jerry and Ella results in their baby, Vivi, being passed from one set of arms to another across the ward. Meanwhile, Lasse takes care of little Vinnie, whose sister Zoë is in a coma following a drowning accident. The team is on edge, and the incident deeply affects everyone, especially Naima, who is currently required to attend therapy with Lasse due to her own traumatic childbirth experience.

Jamie and Sam meet in the emergency room; he has a large wound and a vague story. Jerry is shocked especially when it turns out that Sam has been smoking weed but brushes it off as just some youthful mischief. Ella takes a very different view.
