Ak Hee realizes that his presence is slowly fading away, and knowing all this, Chung Ta makes a tempting offer. Meanwhile, Sajo Hyun and Yeon Wol are in shock and confusion when they find out that Geum Hwa has conceived a child. Seeing that Yeon Wol is not in her right mind, Yang Jae Yi takes a rather extreme measure to address the situation. 

After a fierce confrontation between Ak Hee and Sajo Hyun, Ak Hee successfully plunges the dagger into Hyun. Simultaneously, Sajo Yoong readies himself for the throne. Meanwhile, Sajo Yoong employs a cunning tactic, injecting a poisoned needle into Yeon Wol, who collapses immediately afterwards. Ak Hee becomes consumed by what he perceives as love for Yeon Wol.
