Hulk Hogan plays himself, as two flamboyant pro wrestlers (Bruce Jenner and Tim Rossovich) vie for a win in the ring, a situation complicated by the fact that one of the grapplers is romantically interested in his opponent's sister (Jennifer Holmes); a single mother-to-be (Ellen Bry) and a writer (Ben Murphy) share an unusual relationship; Gopher (Fred Grandy) thinks he's the captain after being hypnotized.

In "Egypt," written by Duane Poole and Tom Swale, the captain (Gavin MacLeod) has a bittersweet reunion with the widow (Jean Stapleton) of one of his dearest friends. She is trying to get over her spouse's demise, and Stubing and another man (Campanella) make life more meaningful for her.
