Driving instructor Brian loved his Fiat 500, until it rusted away. Now he wants a replacement, but good ones are pricey. With just £10k, can Sheldon and Peter come up with a dream car and still manage to make any money?
Ex-Royal Navy aircraft-engineer Mark, has always dreamed of owning a classic MGB and a key part of what makes the car so attractive to Mark, are the chrome bumpers and grille that come on the earlier cars.
But with just £8k to spend, can fixers Sheldon and Peter find clever ways to make the money stretch far enough for that elusive chrome?
Peter wants a Triumph Herald Convertible, exactly like the one his father bought for him when he first learned to drive.
But now rare, and often in poor condition, will £9k be enough for Sheldon to find a good one?
Sheldon manages to track down a very original car, with just three previous owners on the logbook, but even before he gets it into the workshop, he loses all the gears.
On top of that there is a serious oil leak coming from the rear axle which means the differential has got to come out, and it turns out that split windows in the original hood, cannot be replaced and bodywork expert Peter is going to be left struggling to replace the entire roof. With costs mounting, will all the work payoff, or will Sheldon and Peter be left empty handed?
