Evicted tenants are accused of breaking back into their rental home and vandalizing the property. They deny responsibility and blame poor property management and a crime-ridden neighborhood.
Her Honor presides over two cases in this episode. In the first case, a driver falls asleep at the wheel, crashes into a ditch, and admits negligence, but claims he owes nothing because the car was a gift from the plaintiff, not a loan. In the second case, a co-owned car ignites a legal clash, with one party alleging illegal repossession and the other seeking an unpaid loan and towing fees.
The Judge rules on two cases in this episode. In the first case, after their son's tragic death, a mother sues her ex-husband for $10K, claiming he broke his promise to use life insurance money to cover funeral expenses. In the second case, after a heated confrontation, a landlord takes his former tenants to court, accusing them of vandalizing his property in a fit of rage.
Judge Sheindlin returns to the courtroom, delivering justice with her trademark wit, wisdom and no-nonsense approach to real people's cases. The series features lawyer Sarah Rose, who serves as the law clerk; court stenographer Whitney Kumar, a board-certified court reporter in the state of California; and bailiff Kevin Rasco, a retired Los Angeles probation officer. All episodes from previous seasons are currently available on Prime Video.
