Andy McGrath returns to Cornwall, searching for legends. He meets a real-life mermaid, stalks a local churchyard for owl men and faeries, and stops off at a haunted smugglers' inn to learn about its ghostly residents.

Andy searches for dragons in Somerset, visits the grave of Arthur and Guinevere and tests the healing waters of a spring once used to wash the Holy Grail.
