Brought up on a steady diet of mystery fiction by her Uncle Bob, Samantha Kinsey inherits his book store. At a book release by a former teacher of hers, Samantha finds him hanging in a locked room.

Sam's friend Barbara claims to have photographic evidence that her greedy relatives rigged her recently deceased brother's will to make sure they get the bulk of his inheritance. When Barbara is murdered, Sam's own life is in danger as she tries to sort through the complex family relationships to figure out whodunit.
