Doug decides to become a big brother to a fatherless kid, after he learns that Deacon is one; Carrie accidentally tells a coworker, also named Doug, that she loves him.

Doug's enthusiasm over a hot, new restaurant is quickly deflated after Carrie makes an ugly scene at the restaurant and bans Doug from ever eating there again.
