Jeffrey Coho and Claire Simms join the Boston office; their first case is defending Scott Little on charges he murdered Judge Marsha Hooper. Alan takes a case for Clarice, a woman who is really a man too shy to deal with the world. Denny has a first date with Bethany, whom he doesn't realize is a little person.

Jeffrey and Denise continue their investigations prior to the start of the Scott Little trial; Denise sends Claire to accidentally run into Dr Snyder at bar. Alan and Shirley defend a homeless man accused of eating his dead best friend. Alan and Denny stage a wrestling match for the honor of Shirley's affections.
